Avocados and your Sex Life

avocado(2)

I am the good fat!!!

  I have a love affair with avocados. Living in San Diego, we are so lucky to be adjacent to the avocado capital, Fallbrook so that we can buy them year round for about $5.00 a bag. I love their creamy, nutty taste that goes with just about anything from a good sandwich to garnish on a bowl of chili. Besides the yummy taste did you know they are incredibly nutritious and have some surprising benefits like making you look good and even improving your sex life? Yep that is correct. Here is what happens when you eat avocados daily.

You mean eating Avocados will improve my looks?

Yep!!! There are large amounts of antioxidants in avocados which means you body is receiving a ton of anti-aging nutrients.  To get more exact, your cells are receiving help with optimizing renewal and specifically your skin cells. Avocados contain high amounts of monounsaturated fat which is the “good fat” and according to the Mediterranean diet, consuming large amounts of monounsaturated fat yields protection from coronary heart disease. But let's get back to looking younger,  the added benefit of consuming high amounts of monounsaturated fat contributes to soft, youthful-looking skin and it helps the complexion retain the plumpness.  And if that was enough, they also stimulate the collagen production which keeps those wrinkles from popping up. So, all in all, eating avocados is the best inside out anti-aging, wrinkle erasing, and collagen boosting cream. I mean...they are almost as good a botox.

Avocados are high in fat, isn't consuming a lot of fat unhealthy?

Actually adding fat to your diet can help you maintain your weight. Eating fat to lose fat, now that is some food for thought. So yes, avocados are very high in fat, but it is the good fat. Meanwhile eating avocados can increase weight loss by increasing the feeling of satiety and extending the feeling of fullness. Avocados are made up of 75-80% fat, but they have 0% trans fat aka the bad fat. The good fats, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated help in counteracting the bad fats {Trans and Saturated} and promote overall health and good heart health.

But I am the good fat

Can avocados improve my brain function, wait I forgot. {just kidding}

Avocados are not some easy, smart pill, the kind we all wished existed the night before an exam, but they optimize your brain cells. Potassium correlates with helping brain function, decreasing tiredness and fatigue. I bet you guessed it; Avocadoes have a high amount of potassium, and in overall this helps with your ability to process better and give you the ability to think clearer. So looking back, avocados would have been a great choice right before final exams.   Well as you have learned avocados give you energy, increase your heart health and are overall extremely healthy. Avocados are also an aphrodisiac they give your libido a healthy kick, and this is a key ingredient for great sex. Avocados have been considered as a sexual stimulant for hundreds of years. In fact, according to the Aztecs, they used them as sexual stimulates and forbid virgin women from leaving their house during the harvest, thinking that the avocados would sexually overwhelm the young women.  As we have discusses they are loaded with minerals especially potassium and vitamin B6, both of these combined increase the make hormone production and give you energy. And I don't want to forget the good fat which keeps your energy and your sex drive up. As you can see avocados are a superfood and clearly can improve many aspects of your diet and life. Go indulge.
